Job summary

Brook Street in Wales is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to assist vulnerable young people facing homelessness or trauma, providing steady support and guidance.

You will build relationships, deliver support plans, help with education, training, tenancy sustainment, and safeguarding, working with housing and social care partners.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, with typical hours 08:00-17:00 or 09:00-18:00, and offers development opportunities and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting young people or vulnerable adults.
  • Understanding safeguarding and trauma-informed support.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive, resilient and flexible approach.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with young people.
  • Deliver support plans and key-working sessions.
  • Support education, employment, training, and independent living.
  • Help sustain tenancies and prevent homelessness.
  • Complete risk assessments and respond to safeguarding concerns.
  • Work alongside housing, social care, and other partner agencies.
