Job summary

Brook Street in Ammanford is seeking a compassionate Male Domestic Abuse Support Worker to provide trauma-informed support to male survivors across accommodation and community-based services. The role requires empathy, resilience and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

You will complete risk and needs assessments, help clients access housing, benefits, healthcare and other services, and manage a caseload with community outreach.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults or families.
• Understanding of domestic abuse and safeguarding.
• Strong communication, advocacy and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage a varied workload independently and as part of a team.
• Good IT skills; driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and practical support to male victims of domestic abuse
• Complete risk and needs assessments and develop support plans
• Support clients to access housing, benefits, healthcare and other services
• Manage a caseload and provide community outreach support
• Deliver recovery-focused interventions and programmes
• Work with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate records and safeguarding responsibilities
