Job summary

Ty Parc in Abergavenny is recruiting a Support Officer to help five care-experienced young people aged 16+ move towards independence. You’ll hold your own caseload, lead on assessment, support planning and risk management, and line manage a small team of support assistants.

You’ll work in a psychologically informed, trauma‑informed way, delivering tailored support, safeguarding, on-call cover, and regular supervision. We offer training and EAP to help you grow with the project.

Qualifications

Experience delivering trauma-informed support in a residential setting.
Ability to create SMART-based support plans and move-on outcomes.
Experience assessing risk and sharing information clearly.
Line manage support staff and supervise regularly.
Able to work on-call and respond to incidents.

Responsibilities

Provide trauma-informed support in a supported accommodation setting.
Lead on assessment, support planning and risk management for residents aged 16+.
Line manage a small team of support assistants and ensure regular supervision.
Maintain detailed notes and coordinate with partner agencies.
Contribute to safeguarding, health and safety procedures and multi-disciplinary meetings.
