Job summary

Salutem Care & Education in Cardiff is seeking a Registered Manager for a children’s home. The role leads strategic and operational delivery, safeguarding, and high-quality, trauma‑informed care for young people with learning disabilities and autism.

You will manage a committed team, ensure Ofsted compliance, and drive service improvement in a stable, family‑oriented environment. The successful candidate will oversee multi‑agency partnerships, lead staff development, and implement development

Qualifications

• Registered Manager with experience in residential childcare and leading a regulated service.
• Strong safeguarding focus with knowledge of Ofsted and regulatory requirements.
• Holding or working toward Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare).

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the home.
• Act as safeguarding lead and ensure regulatory compliance and emotional safety.
• Develop and supervise staff, supporting professional development.
• Oversee budgets, staffing, resources, and rota planning.
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards of care.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
• Contribute to long‑term planning and service development.
• Ensure the service meets regulatory and quality standards.
