Job summary

Health Recruit Network is seeking an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a residential home in Salisbury. You will drive high‑quality, child‑centred care, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage a skilled staff team to deliver outstanding outcomes for children and young people.

The role requires robust leadership, safeguarding expertise, and the ability to collaborate with external services to support welfare, education, and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent required.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or significant progress towards achieving it.
• Minimum of one year’s supervisory/management experience in a residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the children’s home.
• Ensure high‑quality, child‑centred care in line with Ofsted regulations and standards.
• Safeguard and promote welfare of children and young people at all times.
• Recruit, lead, supervise, and develop a motivated staff team.
• Conduct supervisions, probation reviews, appraisals, and performance management.
• Lead regular staff meetings and ensure mandatory and developmental training.
• Create a safe, nurturing home environment that promotes positive outcomes.
• Monitor staffing levels, rotas, budgets, occupancy and expenditure.
