Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced Level 3+ Nursery Nurse for an alternative provision in Clitheroe. You will support EYFS and KS1 learners facing SEMH needs, applying nurture-based care and trauma-informed practices to help rebuild confidence.

Collaborate with Educational Psychologists, SALT and SENDCOs to support EHCPs; maintain records; uphold safeguarding per KCSIE. Competitive salary up to £40k, term-time schedule, CPD, small groups, pension, and on-site parking in Clitheroe.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 childcare qualification
• Experience with EYFS/KS1 with complex needs
• Calm, empathetic, proactive with de-escalation skills
• Enhanced DBS (Update Service) with two years of references

Responsibilities

• Deliver nurture support for ages 3-7 in an alternative provision setting
• Implement sensory breaks and regulation activities
• Collaborate with Educational Psychologists, SALT, SENDCOs to support EHCPs
• Maintain accurate records and logs using positive behaviour frameworks
• Foster trust with pupils, families and external teams
• Uphold safeguarding per KCSIE guidelines
