Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are supporting a supportive and forward-thinking Alternative Provision in Clitheroe to recruit a resilient Primary Teacher for a temp-to-perm role. You will teach KS1 and KS2 pupils facing barriers to learning.

You will join a small class with dedicated TA support, using trauma-informed methods and contributing to EHCP reviews. QTS/QLTS and UK eligibility are required, with DBS Update Service preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or recognised equivalent primary teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching KS1/KS2 in UK settings with strong classroom and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging primary lessons across the national curriculum.
• Foster a calm, trauma-informed classroom environment.
• Assess and monitor learning milestones and contribute to EHCP reviews.
• Collaborate with SENCOs, teaching assistants, educational psychologists and parents.
