Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs in Sutton Coldfield on a full-time, long-term basis, leading to a permanent position for the right candidate.

The role requires a Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent, experience with SEMH and ASC, and a calm, resilient approach while following bespoke behaviour and risk management plans.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant equivalent.
• Experience supporting primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs and behaviours that challenge.
• Experience supporting pupils with ASC and communication and interaction difficulties.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice, ACEs and attachment theory.

Responsibilities

• Support primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs, including ASC and communication and interaction difficulties, following bespoke behaviour and risk management plans.
