Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a primary SEMH school in Sutton Coldfield on a full-time, long-term contract with potential permanent progression for the right candidate. You will support primary pupils with SEMH, ASC and communication needs, following bespoke behaviour and risk management plans.

A Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent is required, with experience in primary SEMH settings.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting primary-aged pupils with SEMH and behaviours that challenge.
• Experience supporting pupils with ASC and communication difficulties.
• Understanding trauma-informed practice and attachment theory.

Responsibilities

• Support primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs daily.
• Work within bespoke behaviour, support and risk management plans.
• Contribute to 1:1 and small group sessions as required.
