Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our specialist SEMH provision supporting pupils with EHCPs. You will work in small class settings with trauma-informed, relationship-led approaches to learning.

The role involves delivering targeted interventions, 1:1 and small group support, monitoring progress, and collaborating with teachers, pastoral leads and external professionals to promote emotional regulation and inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience with SEND and/or SEMH pupils.
• Understanding of trauma-informed and relational practice.
• Ability to support behaviour calmly and consistently.
• Experience in multidisciplinary teams is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning in a specialist classroom.
• Deliver targeted interventions and structured programmes.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support aligned to EHCP outcomes.
• Promote emotional regulation and positive engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral leads and external professionals.
• Contribute to progress monitoring and reviews.
