4Recruitment Services are seeking a Housing Support Worker to join our client based in Halifax. You will support vulnerable individuals and families to move from temporary accommodation into suitable, sustainable longer-term housing, including supported housing and social/private rental options.

The role requires experience with complex needs, safeguarding awareness, and the ability to work independently, with driving licence and access to a vehicle for visits across the borough.

Competenze

• Proven experience supporting vulnerable individuals and families in housing, homelessness, or supported accommodation.
• Experience working with clients with complex needs and multiple disadvantages.
• Good understanding of housing options and homelessness challenges.
• Ability to recognise safeguarding concerns, assess risks and respond appropriately.
• Knowledge of welfare benefits and assisting clients with budgeting.
• Full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for borough visits.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Mansioni

• Identify and help clients access longer-term housing options.
• Secure appropriate accommodation including supported, social, and private rentals.
• Develop person-centred support plans addressing needs and risks.
• Advise on tenancy sustainment, budgeting, rent payments, welfare benefits.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and liaise with authorities.
• Visit clients across the borough and coordinate with landlords and agencies.
