Compass Community Schools are seeking a dedicated HLTA to work with children with SEMH and SEND. You will support teachers in the classroom, work with individuals and small groups, and help manage resources and activities in a nurturing, trauma-informed environment.

Responsibilities

• support teachers in the classroom
• work with children 1:1 or in small groups
• manage classroom resources
• take children on trips and visits
• eat lunch with children who struggle socially
• manage heightened behaviours and keep children safe
• play board games
• celebrating success
• part of therapy sessions or reflecting on difficult periods
