Compass Community Schools is seeking a Life Changer to join our team as an HLTA. You will support pupils with SEMH and SEND, work with teachers, and help create a safe, engaging learning environment.

Successful candidates will demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to therapeutic approaches. DBS checks and safeguarding compliance are required, with extensive training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH/SEND (desirable).
• Able to manage behaviour with calm and consistency.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in classroom settings and, where appropriate, lead small groups or 1:1 sessions.
• Contribute to planning, preparation and delivery of learning activities.
• Support safeguarding and child welfare in line with school policy.
