Job summary

Vetro Recruitment are seeking a Registered Manager for a Children’s Residential EBD service in Cookham, Berkshire. You will lead a stable home and multidisciplinary team, driving trauma-informed, therapeutic practice to deliver safe, high-quality care for young people.

The role requires an Ofsted-regulated manager with experience in EBD settings and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare. Competitive salary £57,500–£72,000, DOE, plus bonus and private healthcare.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare required or near completion.
• Proven experience as Registered Manager or senior Deputy in an EBD children’s residential setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Ofsted inspection framework and outcomes.
• Leadership style focused on empathy, resilience, and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Act as Ofsted Registered Manager ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team with strong supervision.
• Embed trauma-informed, therapeutic care across care planning and practice.
• Build partnerships with local authorities to support placements.
• Drive service improvement and readiness for inspection toward Good/Outstanding.
