Job summary

In Thamesmead, a dynamic, ambitious Registered Children's Home Manager is sought to lead a residential home for youths aged 10-18 with emotional and behavioural challenges. The role requires a Registered Manager’s award and Level 5 Diploma (or Level 4 equivalent) in leadership for health, social care, and youth services, plus at least 2 years’ relevant residential experience and 1 year supervising staff.

This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours weekly, with a salary between £35,000 and £40,000

Qualifications

• Must hold a Registered Manager’s award and Level 5 Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience with children and young people in residential settings in the last 5 years.
• At least 1 year experience supervising and managing professional staff.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills with ability to achieve at least a good Ofsted rating.

Registered Children's Home Manager (EBD)

On behalf of my client we are looking for aChildren’s Home Managerfor theThamesmead area. You need to bedynamic, ambitious and energetic with experience in managing residential homes for children and young people aged 10 -18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties, learning difficulties, and/or history of mental health problems.

You will need to have a Registered Manager’s award, Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services or a Level 4 qualification relevant to working with children, as well as in management, and have at least 2 years experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting within the last 5 years. You will also need at least one year experience of supervising and managing professional staff.

You must have excellent leadership and management skills, Good organisational skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You must also have the ability to deliver at least ‘good’ rating in the home’s first Ofsted inspection or maintain an ‘outstanding’ rating passion, drive, resilience and ambition.

This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week and the salary is £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
