Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an Orthopaedic Trauma Admin Support within the Trauma Admin Team. You will support theatre bookings, appointments and communications for patients, liaising with the trauma MDT and nursing coordinators.

The role requires attendance at daily trauma meetings, patient contact both face to face and by phone, and efficient use of clinical systems. A proactive, flexible approach and commitment to patient care are essential.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily trauma meetings.
• Book all trauma patients onto theatre lists.
• Organise new and follow-up appointments into specialist fracture clinics.
• Liaise with theatre staff to ensure kit and equipment is available for surgery.
• Provide information to patients about surgery dates and transport/interpretation needs.
• Audit cancellations, breaches, readmissions, and outlier discharges.
