Job summary

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust in Salford is seeking a proactive Trauma Admin Administrator to support theatre bookings and patient communications. You will work alongside the Trauma Orthopaedic Nurse Coordinators and medical team to ensure patients are booked for theatre and informed appropriately.

Daily duties include booking theatre lists, organising fracture clinic appointments, arranging ward beds and liaising with theatre staff for equipment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective communication with patients, carers and families, offering a warm, welcoming environment.
• Attend daily trauma meetings and support the multidisciplinary trauma team.
• Book trauma patients onto theatre and manage appointment bookings.
• Organise New and Follow-up appointments into fracture clinics.
• Arrange ward beds, critical care and Day Surgery unit placements.
• Liaise with theatre staff to ensure equipment and kit are available for surgery.
• Provide information on theatre dates/times and organise transport and interpreters as required.
• Audit cancellations, breaches, readmissions and other administrative tasks.
• Support efficient use of physical and financial resources and adapt to flexible hours.
