Job summary

Uniserve is seeking a Transport Supervisor to oversee day-to-day transport operations at a customer site in Warrington. The role supports a 24-hour, 7-day operation, managing vehicle movements, driver compliance and service delivery while maintaining safety and regulatory adherence.

You will supervise up to 20 vehicles, collaborate with drivers, planners and client teams, and ensure accurate logs and performance reporting. The role demands strong leadership, communication and 24/7 flexibility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a transport, logistics or distribution operation.
• Strong understanding of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience supervising drivers and transport operations.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within a transport environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make effective operational decisions.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office and transport management systems.
• Flexible approach to working within a 24/7 operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Operational Management: supervise daily transport operation to meet service targets.
• Health, Safety & Compliance: promote safety and ensure site procedures are followed.
• Incident & Accident Management: log, investigate and report incidents.
• Customer Service: maintain relationships with customer site teams and resolve issues.
• Administration: complete reporting, records and KPI reviews.
