Green Barks Search is looking for a skilled Multi-Drop Transport Planner to join a growing North Yorkshire operation. You will own day-to-day transport planning, coordinate drivers and customers, and optimise routes to deliver reliable service.

Ideal candidates will have experience in fast-paced logistics and excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with IT proficiency and a proactive mindset. The role offers on-site duties with competitive benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as a Multi-Drop Transport Planner or in a similar planning role.
• Experience in transport, logistics, distribution or fast-paced operational environments.
• Knowledge of construction materials or concrete sector is a plus but not essential.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Commercial awareness and ability to work under pressure.
• Good IT skills including MS Office and transport planning/scheduling systems.
• HGV knowledge is beneficial.
• Proactive, self-motivated, team-oriented.

Aufgaben

• Plan and schedule a busy multi-drop fleet to maximise efficiency and vehicle utilisation.
• Coordinate daily dispatch activities with drivers, customers and subcontractors.
• Produce quotations and process customer bookings.
• Optimise delivery routes to meet customer requirements and targets.
• Act as the main contact throughout the delivery process and resolve issues quickly.
• Liaise with operational teams to ensure work is safe, efficient and on time.
• Manage resource and material requirements for day-to-day operations.
• Promote high standards of health and safety.
• Be available outside normal hours to support urgent operational issues.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and commercially minded planner who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment. If you enjoy coordinating busy fleets, optimising routes and delivering exceptional customer service, this could be the role for you.

Whilst knowledge of the construction materials or concrete sector would be advantageous, it is not essential. We're keen to hear from candidates with experience in transport, logistics, distribution, waste, aggregates, builders' merchants, plant hire, pallet networks or any other busy multi-drop operation.

The Role:

You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day transport operation, taking ownership of planning and coordinating deliveries while ensuring customers receive an efficient and reliable service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule a busy multi-drop fleet to maximise efficiency and vehicle utilisation.
• Coordinate daily dispatch activities with drivers, customers and subcontractors.
• Produce quotations and process customer bookings.
• Optimise delivery routes to meet customer requirements and operational targets.
• Act as the main point of contact throughout the delivery process, resolving operational issues quickly and effectively.
• Liaise with operational teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and on time.
• Manage resource and material requirements to support smooth day-to-day operations.
• Promote high standards of health and safety.
• Be available outside normal working hours to support urgent operational issues when required.

About You:

• Experience as a Multi-Drop Transport Planner, Transport Scheduler or Logistics Planner.
• Experience working within transport, logistics, distribution, construction, waste, aggregates, builders' merchants, plant hire or another fast-paced operational environment.
• Knowledge of the construction materials or concrete sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and transport planning or scheduling systems.
• HGV knowledge would be beneficial.
• A proactive, self-motivated individual who enjoys taking ownership and working as part of a team.
