Job summary

Streamline Services Consultancy Limited is seeking an experienced Multi-Drop Transport Planner to join the Tilbury transport team. The role requires a confident, organized planner who can coordinate efficient deliveries while upholding high service standards.

Responsibilities include daily multi-drop scheduling, maximizing capacity and productivity, and liaising with drivers, customers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience in a transport planning or similar logistics role.
• A good understanding of UK road networks and multi-drop delivery operations.
• Confident communicating with drivers and colleagues across the business.
• Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
• Familiarity with transport management systems would be an advantage.
• A flexible approach to working hours when operational demands require it.

Responsibilities

• Organise daily multi-drop delivery schedules, ensuring routes are planned efficiently and meet operational requirements.
• Maximise vehicle capacity and driver productivity while keeping transport costs under control.
• Coordinate with drivers, customers and internal departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Track deliveries, manage service disruptions and resolve issues promptly.
• Adapt plans to accommodate urgent collections, route changes and unexpected delays.
• Ensure transport activities comply with driver hours legislation and relevant industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate operational records and update transport planning systems as required.

Location: Tilbury

Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: 08:00–17:00, with flexibility required
