Job summary

Gap Personnel is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join the Transport Department. The role focuses on planning and coordinating daily transport operations within a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery scheduling, maintain transport records, and liaise with drivers, warehouses, and customers to keep operations running smoothly. Strong Excel skills and relevant logistics experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Transport Planner or in a similar transport/logistics role.
• Strong IT skills with a high level of competence in Microsoft Excel.
• SAP experience is desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience working in a traffic, warehousing, or logistics environment is preferred.

• Planning and coordinating daily transport operations.
• Ensuring deliveries are scheduled efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Maintaining accurate transport records and documentation.
• Liaising with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Resolving transport issues and supporting the wider transport team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Transport Planner or in a similar transport/logistics role.
• Strong IT skills with a high level of competence in Microsoft Excel.
• SAP experience is desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience working in a traffic, warehousing, or logistics environment is preferred.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure.

Working Hours:

• Sunday to Thursday
• 6:00am – 2:30pm
• 40 hours per week

Salary:

• £27,622.40 per annum (non-negotiable)
