Amour Recruitment is partnering with a UK client to recruit a Transport Planner/Traffic Operator. You will oversee daily deliveries and collections, plan routes across the UK, and manage driver hours and fleet movements to ensure service standards.

The role requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a customer-focused approach in a fast-paced transport environment; CPC qualification is advantageous but not essential.

Amour Recruitment is delighted to partner with our wonderful long-time client to recruit for a Transport Planner/Traffic Operator

You will oversee the coordination and management of daily deliveries and collections, ensuring efficient fleet operations across the UK. This involves liaising closely with drivers, customers, and colleagues to uphold the highest standards of service and compliance within a busy transport environment.

Your expertise will be instrumental in planning routes, managing container movements, and ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation, including the Working Time Directive. You will utilise specialised Transport Management System software to streamline operations and support the wider team in delivering service excellence. This role is perfectly suited to someone proactive, organised, and motivated to thrive in a fast-paced setting, with a keen eye for detail and a strong customer-focused approach.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in transport planning or a back-office transport role is essential
• Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
• Experience in route planning
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Desirable: CPC qualification (not essential but advantageous)

Hours: rotational shifts between 6:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday AND 1 in 4 Saturdays/Sundays morning (Paid as Overtime)

Salary: up to £38,000 (depending on skills and experience)
