Job summary

Griffith Foods UK is seeking an organised Transport Coordinator to manage bookings with logistics providers for UK & Ireland deliveries from the Derbyshire and Somercotes sites. You will ensure on-time, cost-efficient transport and accurate data in Transporeon and Freight Cube, coordinating with customer service and other departments.

Requirements include GCSE, fluent English, strong Excel skills, and prior logistics experience; ERP exposure (D365 or SAP) is a plus, with knowledge of Transporeon

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent education is required.

• Fluent English is essential; strong Excel skills.
• Other European languages are advantageous.

Responsibilities

The purpose of the role

To manage and control the transport booking with logistics providers for the despatch of products from both Griffith Foods UK sites (Derbyshire & Somercotes) to UK & Ireland destinations. Critical to ensure on time delivery. Ensuring that the service is delivered in the most cost-efficient manner whilst maintain high quality and level of service to Customers.

Responsibilities

• Booking collections for UK & Ireland with logistics providers via our transport management platform Transporeon.
• Manage any day to day issues as they arise, and follow up to ensure deliveries are made on time, providing data if required.
• Proactive communication with customer service in case any transport-related issues occur.
• Carry out service reviews with logistics partners.
• Proactively understand all customer delivery requirements/restrictions, and make sure deliveries are made accordingly.
• Review and approve transport related invoicing, hi-lighting and resolving and issues that arise.
• Provide logistics assistance to all departments as & when required.
• Proactively and visibility support the Health & Safety standards, rules and regulations of the Organization.
• Ensure all input data and details are 100% correct in Transporeon / Freight Cube and communicate with the relevant contacts to adjust, correct this data on time.
• Perform any other associated duties that may arise.

Requirements

Education

• Minimum GCSE or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

• Some logistics experience
• Fluent English, excellent Excel skills and a practical, detail-focused approach required.
• Other European languages are advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• Preferably more than one year in logistics.
• Experience using an ERP system such as D365 or SAP.
• Experience using Transporean Transportation Management Platform, or equivalent.

Compensation

Our base salary for this role is £36,644 GBP gross per year.
