Job summary

Bis Henderson is seeking a Transport Planner to plan and coordinate transportation routes for efficient delivery of goods in the UK. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfilment and monitor shipments to guarantee on-time delivery.

The role requires strong knowledge of UK road networks, experience with transportation management software, and excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Planner to be on call when not in the office.
• Investigations with drivers.
• Handle same-day desk duties with incoming emails regarding PODs and updating customer portals.

Salary: £30000 - £32000

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 07:30 - 16:30

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transportation routes for efficient delivery of goods
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery
• Optimize transportation processes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
• Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and performance metrics
• Communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers to address any issues or concerns
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices in transportation planning
• Maintaining a professional attitude when liaising with customers
• Planner to be on call when not in the office.
• Investigations with drivers.
• When doing sameday desk deal with incoming emails regarding POD's, updating customer portals with times and POD's.
