Job summary

Culina Group is seeking a Transport Planner for our Rugby site on a full-time permanent basis. You will oversee day-to-day transport planning, coordinating with transport and warehouse teams to deliver efficient loads every night.

The role requires experience in fast-paced environments, strong UK geography knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office and a TMS system. Salary is £33,000 per annum with night shifts Tuesday to Saturday, 8pm–6am.

Qualifications

• Strong UK transport planning knowledge and geography.

• Experience planning units across multiple depots.

• Customer-focused with reliable delivery performance.
• FMCG sector experience and strong numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Create efficient transport plans using the latest TMS.
• Assemble 400+ consolidated orders into loads daily.
• Subcontracting and planning orders across UK sites.
• Plan daily fleet workload based on site and outbases.
• Report issues and respond to queries.
• Plan approximately 100 collections per day.
• Maintain and exceed KPIs.
• Identify continuous improvements.
• Make decisions under pressure and tight timescales.
• Be flexible during peak periods to meet business needs.
• Utilise Culina Group network to support Warrens.

Job Description

We would like to present you with an exciting opportunity for aTransport Planner to join our friendly team at our Rugby site on a full time permanent basis!

Salary:£33,000 per annum.

Working hours:Tuesday - Saturday nights, 8pm-6am.

As aTransport Planner you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.

Key Duties of aTransport Planner:

• Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• Assembling of 400+ consolidated orders into loads in every 24hr period.
• Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
• Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and outbases.
• Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise.
• Planning approx. 100 collections per day on a time critical basis.
• Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPI’s.
• Proactively look for continuous improvements.
• Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year.
• Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Warrens when volumes dictate.

Qualifications

• Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Work and Outlook.
• Experience of planning units across multiple depots.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
• Customer focus on delivery performance.
• Commercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
• Experience of using a TMS system.
• Experience in an FMCG environment.
• Strong analytical and excel capability across standard formulas.
