Job summary

Culina Group is looking for a Transport Planner to join our Transport Team at the Warrington site. As a vital part of the team, you will be responsible for developing efficient transport plans and overseeing daily operations, ensuring optimal performance and service delivery.

Key qualifications include geographical knowledge of the UK, experience in planning for multiple depots, and strong communication skills. The position offers a salary of up to £33,000 based on experience and various employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Outlook.
• CPC Desirable but not required.
• Experience of planning 20+ tractor units across multiple depots.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.

Responsibilities

• Create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• Plan orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
• Report problems and deal with issues and any queries that may arise.

We are currently seeking a Transport Planner to join our Transport Team for our Appleton (Warrington) site. As a Transport Planner you will be contributing to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.

Working hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 08:00-18:00

Salary: up to £33,000 depending upon experience

Key Duties of a Transport Planner

• Work with the Carlisle Transport, Central and Network teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• Planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
• Planning on a time critical basis to achieve customer performance targets.
• Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise.
• Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPI’s.
• Proactively look for continuous improvements.
• Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year.
• Efficiently utilise the Stobart and Culina Group networks for support when volumes dictate.

Qualifications
