Job summary

Warrens in Rugby is seeking a Transport Planner to join our busy operations on a full-time permanent basis. You will oversee day-to-day transport planning using a fast-paced environment, coordinating with transport and warehouse teams, and planning ~100 collections per day with KPI targets.

Candidates should have UK geography knowledge, experience with a TMS, strong Excel skills, and a customer-focused mindset; FMCG experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience of planning units across multiple depots.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
  • Customer focus on delivery performance.
  • Commercially and financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
  • Experience of using a TMS system.
  • Experience in an FMCG environment.
  • Strong analytical and Excel capability across standard formulas.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
  • Assembling of 400+ consolidated orders into loads in every 24hr period.
  • Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
  • Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and outbases.
  • Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise.
  • Planning approx. 100 collections per day on a time critical basis.
  • Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPI's.
  • Proactively look for continuous improvements.
  • Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting business needs, especially at peak periods.
  • Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Warrens when volumes dictate.

Job Description

We would like to present you with an exciting opportunity for aTransport Planner to join our friendly team at our Rugby site on a full time permanent basis!

Working hours:4 on 4 off days, 6am-6pm.

As aTransport Planner you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.
