Culina Group Limited is seeking a Transport Planner to join the transport team at Swan Valley. You will manage day-to-day transport planning in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with multiple depots and ensuring loads are planned efficiently using the latest TMS.

The role requires UK route knowledge, strong Excel skills, and an ability to work under pressure during peak periods. The shift pattern is 4 on, 4 off nights (18:00–06:00), with a salary of £27,500 per annum.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Transport Planner to join our Transport Team for our retail sector at our Swan Valley site. As a Transport Planner you will be contributing to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.

Working hours:

4 on 4 off nights, 18.00-06.00 (Average of 38.5 hours)

Salary:

£27,500 per annum

Key Duties of a Transport Planner:

• Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• Assembling of 400+ consolidated orders into loads in every 24hr period.
• Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
• Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and out bases.
• Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise.
• Planning approx. 100 collections per day on a time critical basis.
• Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPI’s.
• Proactively look for continuous improvements.
• Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year.
• Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Warrens when volumes dictate..

Qualifications

• Good geographical knowledge of the UK
• Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Work and Outlook
• Experience of planning units across multiple depots.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
• Customer focus on delivery performance.
• Commercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
• Experience of using a TMS system.
• Experience in an FMCG environment.
• Strong analytical and excel capability across standard formulas.
