Job summary

Culina Group in Wentworth is seeking a Transport Planner to join our Wentworth Park site on a full-time permanent basis. You will oversee day-to-day transport planning, coordinating with transport and warehouse teams and using the latest TMS to create efficient loads.

The role demands a proactive, numbers-driven candidate with strong Excel skills and experience in FMCG transport planning, able to work under pressure during peak periods and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced FMCG transport planning.
• Strong KPI achievement and continuous improvement focus.
• Good knowledge of UK geography and routes.
• Proficient with MS Office; TMS experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and oversee daily transport plan using TMS.
• Assemble 400+ orders into loads every 24 hours.
• Plan approx. 100 collections per day on a time-critical basis.
• Coordinate with transport and warehouse teams across sites.

We would like to present you with an exciting opportunity for aTransport Planner to join our friendly team at our Wentworth Park site on a full time permanent basis!

Salary:£34,100 per annum.

Working hours:4 on 4 off nights, 6pm-6am.

As aTransport Planner you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.

Key Duties of aTransport Planner:

• Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• Assembling of 400+ consolidated orders into loads in every 24hr period.
• Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
• Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and outbases.
• Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise.
• Planning approx. 100 collections per day on a time critical basis.
• Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPI’s.
• Proactively look for continuous improvements.
• Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year.
• Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Warrens when volumes dictate.

• Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Work and Outlook.
• Experience of planning units across multiple depots.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
• Customer focus on delivery performance.
• Commercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
• Experience of using a TMS system.
• Experience in an FMCG environment.
• Strong analytical and excel capability across standard formulas.
