Responsibilities

• Assemble 400+ consolidated orders into loads every 24 hours.
• Subcontract and plan orders from multiple warehouses and sites.
• Plan daily fleet workload across site and outbases.
• Report issues and respond to queries promptly.
• Plan ~100 collections per day on a time-critical basis.
• Maintain and exceed KPIs.
• Identify continuous improvements and optimise network use.

Job Description

We would like to present you with an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join our friendly team at our Rugby site on a full-time permanent basis!

Salary: £33,000 per annum.

Working hours: Tuesday - Saturday nights, 8pm-6am.

As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day-to-day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.

Key Duties of a Transport Planner:

• Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• Assembling of 400+ consolidated orders into loads in every 24-hour period.
• Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
• Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and outbases.
• Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise.
• Planning approx. 100 collections per day on a time-critical basis.
• Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPIs.
• Proactively look for continuous improvements.
• Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year.
• Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support of Warrens when volumes dictate.
