Job summary

Culina Group Limited (Stobart division) seeks a Transport Planner for our Wentworth Park site to contribute to day-to-day transport operations in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

You will coordinate with Transport and Warehouse teams to create efficient loads and schedules, handling ~400+ orders daily while maintaining KPIs and driving continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook.
• Experience of planning units across multiple depots.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
• Customer focus on delivery performance.
• Commercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
• Experience of using a TMS system.
• Experience in an FMCG environment.
• Strong analytical and excel capability across standard formulas.

Responsibilities

• Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• Assembling of 400+ consolidated orders into loads in every 24hr period.
• Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
• Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and outbases.
• Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise.
• Planning approx. 100 collections per day on a time critical basis.
• Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPI's.
• Proactively look for continuous improvements.
• Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year.
• Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Warrens when volumes dictate

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Transport Planner to join our Transport Team for our Consumer Beverage sector at our Wentworth Park site. As a Transport Planner you will be contributing to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.

Working hours: 4 on 4 off nights, 18:00-6:00

Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum

Key Duties of a Transport Planner
