Job summary

Pure Staff is hiring a Transport Planner for a permanent, office-based role in Aldridge, West Midlands. You will plan and coordinate daily transport operations, allocate vehicles, monitor movements and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires knowledge of UK transport operations and drivers' hours, strong organisation, and proficiency with transport planning systems and Microsoft Office. You will work a rotating shift pattern (7:00–15:30 and 14:00–22:30) with every other Saturday.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a transport planning, logistics or similar role.
• Knowledge of UK transport operations and drivers' hours regulations.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
• Good knowledge of the UK geography.
• Attention to detail and proficiency with transport planning systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily transport operations and driver schedules.

• Ensure all transport activities comply with legal and company requirements.

• Liaise with customers regarding collections, deliveries and schedule changes.
• Work with the transport team to improve efficiency and reduce empty running.
• Complete transport administration and reporting.

Overview:

Other:

• Shift 1(7am - 3.30pm) Mon - Fri
• Shift 2 (2pm - 10.30pm) Mon - Fri
• Also, as part of the rota you will be required to work every other Saturday.

This is a permanent role, office based.
