Transport Operator Role at Challenge-TRG

Challenge-TRG is currently recruiting for Transport Operators to work night shifts on a 4 on 4 off rota, with 12-hour shifts.

The Role

1. Monitor the day-to-day transport operations for the site.
2. Ensure fleet safety and legality by managing vehicle and driver compliance.
3. Manage driver performance.
4. Liaise with Lineage depots and delivery points.
5. Assign drivers and fleet using the transport planning system.
6. Handle delivery rejections due to temperature issues, damages, or wrong products.
7. Create goods return notifications (GRRS) for delivery issues.
8. Deal with vehicle and trailer breakdowns.
9. Manage uninvoice job reports.
10. Oversee diary departure management.
11. Perform scanning, indexing, and filing.
12. Manage invoicing and status reports.
13. Handle daily activity management.

Candidate Requirements

1. Experience in managing drivers' hours and legislation.
2. Familiarity with Transport Management Systems is helpful, but willingness to learn and initiative are valued.
3. Target-focused with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
4. Team player with strong communication and organizational skills.
5. Proficient in IT skills, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
6. Dedicated to maintaining high customer and colleague satisfaction with a positive attitude.
