Here at XPO, we’re looking for a Regional Transport Manager for our contract. You’ll be covering multiple sites based in the Northwest area covering Chorley and Uddingston in Scotland, having a requirement for travel to all the sites within this region. National cover for transport managers across the rest of the UK. Working alongside the dedicated XPO Pasquill Roof Trusses contract team and wider XPO Network teams, ensure we deliver a safe, efficient and sustainable transport operation. With a team of rigid and artic drivers, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day transport operation and customer interaction.

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £42,000 per annum, plus company or car allowance. In addition, we offer 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Take full operational accountability and responsibility for your region, effectively managing your time across the sites to ensure a safe and efficient service
• As a true people manager, you will focus on ensuring that your colleagues receive the right level of support, coaching and development
• Manage the relationship between XPO and our customer, constantly communicating across various stakeholders
• Ensure that all sites and teams are aligned, operating to XPO standard policies and procedures

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• Flexibility as you’ll be traveling between the sites in your region depending on the needs of the business
• Ideally, you’ll already be a Transport Manager or have Transport experience in a 3PL environment, looking for the next step
• Great People Management and Leadership skills
• National CPC holder – essential
• A track record of resolving complex issues and delivering results in a fast-paced environment
