Job summary

CML (Part of the Culina Group) is seeking a Transport Operations Support to provide general administration for the Transport Department. The role covers driver debriefs, timesheet checks, POD handling and despatch documentation, with 4-on/4-off nights (6pm-6am).

Key duties include maintaining records, updating spreadsheets, communicating ETAs, and assisting customer services. The position emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and a proactive approach to workload management.

Responsibilities

• Debriefing drivers and checking timesheets.
• Ensuring PODs are returned and stored correctly.
• Scanning and storing PODs in document management system.
• Preparing drivers’ wallets and delivery notes in drop sequence.
• Printing despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper.
• Answering phones and handling inquiries.
• Communicating ETAs to Customer Services.
• Updating spreadsheets (ETAs, run summaries, trailer checks).
• Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensuring uplifts are dispatched in correct loads.

Job Description

Reporting into the Transport Shift Manager, the Transport Operations Support will provide general administration support to the Transport Department.

Shift:4 on 4 off nights,6pm - 6am

Key Duties of Transport Operations Support:

• Correctly debriefing drivers
• Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly
• Scanning and storing PODs using Culina’s document management system
• Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information
• Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required
• Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries
• Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services
• Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets
• Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS)
• Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads
