DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Transportation Operations Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily transportation and logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of storage and distribution procedures.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

1. To manage the shipments from warehouse to end-use, planning and scheduling routes as required.
2. Track and trace orders using functional systems such as in-house tracking software.
3. Monitor and report on transportation costs, ensuring cost-effective shipping methods are a priority consideration.
4. Monitor, oversee and report maintenance and repair schedules for all vehicles and relatable equipment.
5. Keep organised records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders, ensuring shipping documents are properly filed and logged.
6. Ensure all safety records, compliance and regulations are up-to-date and in line with company policies and legislation, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices.

5. Geographical knowledge highly advantageous.
