Job summary

World Courier in Birmingham is seeking a Transport Administrator to join our team. The role focuses on planning delivery schedules, coordinating drivers and third party couriers, and ensuring all transport activities meet legal health and safety standards.

You will monitor driver timesheets, manage PODs, update fleet KPIs, and support payroll with accurate wage data. The position runs 40 hours weekly from 06:00 to 14:00 with a stated annual salary of £29,785.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport or logistics operations would be beneficial.
• Ability to plan routes and schedules to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements for transport operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plan delivery schedules incorporating Service Centre and 3rd party requirements.
• Communicate delays to customers about deliveries.
• Investigate any missing parcels.
• Monitor temperature records for accuracy and compliance.
• Check driver timesheets and ensure correct trailer numbers and vehicle registrations.
• Debrief drivers and ensure paperwork and PODs are completed.
• Brief agency personnel before shifts and issue required documents.
• Ensure agency hours are recorded and submitted to payroll by deadline.
• Analyze digital Tachograph charts and prepare infringement reports.
• Calculate weekly miles per gallon for hire units and share with supervisors.
• Update Fleet KPI daily with fuel, mileage and costs.
• Enter wage data from drivers’ timesheets into the payroll system daily and verify.
• Ensure drivers' hours feed correctly from wage spreadsheets to the working time directive spreadsheet.
