Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Worksop is seeking a proactive Transport Network Planner to plan and optimise deliveries across a multi-site network, balancing customer requirements with operational efficiency to achieve the best service outcomes.

You will develop transport plans, manage daily orders, understand customer patterns, collaborate with teams, and drive KPI targets while identifying improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop efficient and cost-effective transport plans across multiple sites, ensuring daily delivery volumes are routed in the most logical and profitable way.
• Manage and prioritise a daily workload of customer orders, liaising directly with customers to schedule deliveries and meet service requirements.
• Build understanding of customer profiles, delivery patterns and network requirements to optimise route planning and resource utilisation.
• Collaborate with transport, warehouse, customer service teams, DHL customers and end delivery points to ensure seamless operational execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Drive network performance by achieving KPI and SLA targets, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and enhancing efficiency across the network.

Shift patterns: 4 on, 4 off - Night Shift – 06:00-18:00

Location: Worksop - S80 3EG

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Network Planner to join our Manton Wood team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for planning and optimising deliveries across a network of sites, balancing customer requirements with operational efficiency to achieve the best possible service outcomes. • Develop efficient and cost-effective transport plans across multiple sites, ensuring daily delivery volumes are routed in the most logical and profitable way
• Manage and prioritise a daily workload of customer orders, liaising directly with customers to schedule deliveries and meet service requirements
• Build a strong understanding of customer profiles, delivery patterns and network requirements to optimise route planning and resource utilisation
• Collaborate with transport, warehouse, customer service teams, DHL customers and end delivery points to ensure seamless operational execution and high levels of customer satisfaction
• Drive network performance by achieving key KPI and SLA targets, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and enhancing the efficiency of transport operations across the wider network

what You'll Bring

• Proven experience in transport route planning across a multi-site network, managing deliveries for a diverse customer base in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make effective decisions and respond quickly to changing operational requirements
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities, consistently meeting strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Confident IT user with strong Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams skills; experience using transport planning systems is advantageous, although full training will be provided on bespoke systems
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across transport, warehouse and customer-facing teams
