Gleeson has partnered with a Transport and Warehousing business seeking a Transport Manager. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in compliance and delivering cost savings to enhance overall operations.

Job Title: Transport Manager
Location: Lancaster
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 + Benefits

Responsibilities:

1. Lead daily haulage operations, ensuring compliance with legal, industry, and health & safety standards.
2. Provide leadership to cross-functional teams, including drivers and transport office staff.
3. Maintain excellent relationships with customers to ensure service quality and proactive communication.
4. Manage P&L responsibilities, aligning resource planning with operational and financial goals.
5. Develop a high-performance team through leadership, mentoring, and development.
6. Ensure compliance with DVSA guidelines, O-Licence conditions, tachograph regulations, and working time directives.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in Transport & Operations Management
• Knowledge of Transport Compliance
• Staff Management skills, including route planning, cost saving, and general supervision
• CPC Certification required
