Job summary

Veolia is seeking a qualified transport supervisor in Hinckley to ensure health, safety and environmental standards in daily transport operations. You will plan routes, coordinate drivers, and communicate with customers to maintain service levels.

The role requires understanding of transport compliance and WTD, strong communication, and ability to manage a busy workload with IT tools. Veolia values growth and staff development with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Understanding of transport compliance and Working Time Directive (WTD).
• Strong communication skills across levels, including drivers and customers.
• Ability to handle a busy workload and fast-paced environment with IT familiarity (Google OS).
• Experience in waste/transport/logistics is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ensure QHSE remains the priority within the transport operation.
• Manage daily service delivery, planning, and driver communication.
• Deliver service excellence including taking calls and handling missed lifts.
• Identify routing efficiencies and manage depot KPI delivery.
• Oversee driver management, performance, and leave entitlements.
• Conduct safety talks and investigations as directed by the Service Manager.
