Job summary

Veolia Group in Hinckley is looking for a transport operations professional to prioritise safety and service delivery. You will plan routes, communicate with customers and drivers, and support the Service Manager in improving routing efficiency and capacity.

The role includes stock control of containers and coordinating MOTs and services. Ideal candidates will have strong IT skills, experience with ISO or similar quality systems, and the ability to manage a busy workload in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Understanding of transport compliance and working time directives (WTD).
• Good communication with drivers, front-line staff and customers.
• Ability to organise a busy workload at pace.
• Experience with a quality management system (e.g., ISO).
• Familiarity with IT tools and Google operating systems.
• Desirable: experience in waste/transport/logistics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Quality, Health, Safety and Environment is the top priority in transport operations.
• Plan daily service delivery, coordinate routes, and maintain driver/customer contact.
• Deliver service excellence: take calls, manage missed lifts and communications.
• Assist Service Manager to identify routing efficiencies and capacity.
• Maintain container stock levels and driver communications.
• Update the waller planner and book MOTs & Services.
