Job summary

Bidfood Worcester is seeking an organised and proactive individual to join our busy Transport Team. You will support day-to-day transport operations, debrief drivers, and ensure accurate delivery paperwork while upholding food safety and compliance.

The role emphasizes attention to detail and clear communication in a fast-paced environment. Previous transport or logistics experience is beneficial but not essential, with a comprehensive benefits package on offer.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in records and paperwork.
• Good communication skills with drivers and internal teams.
• Experience in transport or logistics is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Debriefing drivers after delivery routes.
• Processing returns, refused deliveries, shortages and credits.
• Investigating credits and root causes to reduce stock losses.
• Liaising with drivers and departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensuring delivery paperwork and documentation are accurate.
• Monitoring returned cages, pallets and collections.
• Food safety and compliance: handling and recording returned food correctly.
• Temperature control: recording vehicle temperatures and escalating concerns.
• Vehicle hygiene: monitoring weekly wash records.
• Product integrity: escalating damaged products or handling concerns.
• Identifying delivery issues and operational concerns.
• Working with Transport Managers, Drivers, Warehouse and Stock teams to resolve issues.
• Completing daily transport reports and maintaining records for audits.
