Job summary

Cleansing Service Group Limited is seeking a dedicated transport coordinator based at the Botley depot in the UK. The role focuses on planning efficient vehicle scheduling, coordinating drivers, and ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will have a CPC qualification (or willingness to gain it), a full UK driving licence, and experience in transport office environments.

Qualifications

• CPC qualification held or willingness to gain.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience working in a transport office or logistics environment.
• Familiarity with transport scheduling and route planning.

Responsibilities

• Follow and implement CSG Health & Safety policies.
• Plan efficient vehicle scheduling and routing to maximise utilisation.
• Coordinate driver resources for assigned areas.
• Complete paper and online collection paperwork.
• Ensure transport compliance including drivers hours and vehicle maintenance.
• Collaborate with regional administration for smooth transport operations.
• Provide high levels of customer service to external and internal customers.
• Lead driver team meetings and manage holidays and sickness.
• Produce transport financial reports for management.

Location: Southern - Botley

Salary: £32,000.00 per annum

Role Type: Full-time (Monday - Friday)

Hours: 40 hours

Role Accountabilities:

• To follow and enact CSG Group H&S Policies
• To plan efficient & cost-effective vehicle scheduling & routing of collections to maximise utilisation.
• To plan efficient driver/operative resources for allocated areas.
• Complete all necessary paperwork for collections both in paper form and online.
• To work with the CPC Holder to ensure full transport compliance is achieved, including vehicle maintenance and driver's hours.
• To work with regional administration to ensure smooth transport administration is delivered.
• Provide a high level of customer service to external & internal customers.
• Work with the other managers in the business to service their transport requirements.
• Ensure all training requirements for drivers are up to date.
• Required to be part of an on-call rota.
• Manage drivers including completing team meetings, managing holiday and sickness.
• Produce financial reports for Transport manager/RBM.

The Candidate:

• Commitment to compliance with CSG's Health & Safety standards
• Strong organisational skills & attention to detail
• Good communicator
• Competent in the use of computer systems
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
• Experience of working in a transport office
• Experience of working in the waste sector
• Familiarity with Salesforce or Field Service or similar work planning systems
• Holder of CPC Qualification or willingness to gain this.
• Full UK driving licence
