Job summary

CSG is seeking an experienced HGV driver to join our Chailey-based team. You will visit domestic customers, collect sewage waste, and operate our tanker with safety and reliability. The role includes 40 hours per week with an on-call rota for out-of-hours emergencies.

Ideal candidates hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence, Digi-card and CPC, with training provided for the waste management industry. You should be able to work independently and deliver high-quality customer service across our service

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence is required.
• Digi-card and CPC qualification current.
• Experience in waste management desirable but training will be provided.
• Experienced driver who works independently.

Responsibilities

• Visiting domestic customers and collecting sewage waste.
• Advising customers on operation of the waste system.
• Operating tanker with safety awareness.
• Forming part of our on-call rota, completing out of hours emergency work.
• Working with our transport depot to deliver excellent service.
• Visiting commercial customers to collect industrial waste.

Role Accountabilities:

• Visiting and building good relationships with our domestic customers and collecting sewage waste.
• Helping our customers with advice and guidance on the operation of the waste system.
• Operating our tanker with skill and necessary safety awareness.
• Forming part of our on-call rota, completing out of hours emergency work.
• Working together with our transport depot to deliver excellent service to our long serving customers.
• Visiting our commercial customer premises, collecting industrial waste.

The Candidate:

• Enthusiastic and committed to delivering quality customer service.
• HGV class 2 licence.
• Digi-card and current CPC qualification.
• Experience in the waste management industry desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Experienced HGV driver who enjoys working independently.
