Job summary

Veolia in Colwick near Nottingham is seeking a Transport Coordinator to plan and manage the routing of roll-on/roll-off and articulated fleets, ensuring adherence to schedules and contractual obligations.

You will work with the Transport Manager to keep fleet maintenance up to date, address defects promptly and contribute to improvement projects across the business while maintaining strong driver and customer liaison.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of route planning & scheduling essential.
• Excellent geographical knowledge of Nottinghamshire and surrounding counties.
• Experience dealing with drivers and customers.
• Proficient with Google Suite and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage routing of roll-on/roll-off and articulated fleets to meet daily schedules and contractual obligations.
• Ensure vehicle defects are addressed promptly and maintain compliance.
• Support fleet maintenance with the Transport Manager to keep licences up to date.
• Participate in improvement projects and changes within the business.

What you’ll be doing;

• Plan and manage the routing of both the roll-on/roll-off and articulated vehicle fleets to ensure efficient operations and adherence to daily schedules and contractual obligations

• Ensure all vehicle defects are addressed in a timely manner ensuring compliance.

• Alongside Transport Manager keep fleet maintenance up to date in line with requirements of the operators licence.

• Be involved in improvement projects in regards to changes within the business.

• Liaising with recycling centres and transfer stations to ensure all waste levels are collected as planned.

• Liaise with vehicle maintenance providers and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth running of the operation and adherence to Service/MOT schedules.

What we’re looking for;
