Job summary

Veolia is hiring a Transport Supervisor at Colwick/Nottinghamshire to lead the efficient routing of our fleet across multiple recycling centres and transfer stations. You will schedule driver rotas, ensure EU Hours/WTD compliance, and oversee vehicle servicing and inspections.

The role requires a full, clean driving licence, experience in transport operations, and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate transport records and driver safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced transport or logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation including EU Drivers’ Hours and WTD.
• Ability to manage fleets and driver rotas with attention to compliance.

Responsibilities

• Managing the efficient routing of the fleet across 12 recycling centres and 4 transfer stations throughout Nottinghamshire.
• Updating driver rotas to meet service requirements and operational changes.
• Managing EU Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) compliance, investigating and actioning infringements.
• Scheduling vehicle servicing, MOT and LOLER inspections to ensure fleet compliance.
• Maintaining accurate records of vehicle maintenance paperwork and drivers' hours.
• Conducting vehicle gate checks and driver worksafe observations.
• Delivering toolbox talks and safety alerts to the driver team.
• Conducting daily driver debriefs and investigations using internal systems.
• Carrying out weekly site visits to allocated transfer stations.
