Job summary

Veolia is hiring a Transport Coordinator in Colwick to plan and manage the routing for roll-on/roll-off and articulated fleets, ensuring adherence to daily schedules and contractual obligations. You’ll coordinate with maintenance and waste facilities to keep operations running smoothly and support improvement projects.

The successful candidate will have proven route planning experience, strong driver/customer liaison skills, and be proficient with Google Suite.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in route planning and scheduling.
• Excellent geographic knowledge of the area.
• Experience dealing with drivers and customers.
• Proficient with Google Suite and basic IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage routing for roll-on/roll-off and articulated fleets to meet schedules and contractual obligations.
• Ensure vehicle defects are addressed promptly and comply with regulations.
• Support fleet maintenance in line with operator licence requirements.
• Contribute to improvement projects within the business.
• Coordinate with recycling centres and transfer stations to ensure waste collection runs smoothly.
• Liaise with vehicle maintenance providers to ensure service/Schedule adherence.

What you’ll be doing

• Plan and manage the routing of both the roll-on/roll-off and articulated vehicle fleets to ensure efficient operations and adherence to daily schedules and contractual obligations
• Ensure all vehicle defects are addressed in a timely manner ensuring compliance.
• Alongside Transport Manager keep fleet maintenance up to date in line with requirements of the operators licence.
• Be involved in improvement projects in regards to changes within the business.
• Liaising with recycling centres and transfer stations to ensure all waste levels are collected as planned.
• Liaise with vehicle maintenance providers and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth running of the operation and adherence to Service/MOT schedules.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience of route planning & scheduling essential
• Excellent geographical knowledge of Nottinghamshire and the surrounding counties.
• Experience of dealing with both drivers and customers.
• Computer literate including Google Suite.
