Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking a Transport and Compliance System Coordinator to join the Estates and Facilities team. Based at Shuttleworth College with potential base at Bedford or Kettering, the role focuses on coordinating student transport, fleet compliance, and data management to support safe and effective services for learners.

Qualifications

• Experience in Estates & Facilities, transport, compliance or similar operational environments.
• Strong organisation, planning and problem solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and IT skills; proficient in MS Office and able to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of student transport services; coordinate external providers and route planning, ensuring safe and reliable transport for learners.
• Act as primary contact for transport-related enquiries; support students, parents, staff and providers; manage incidents and service issues to resolution.
• Oversee internal minibus bookings, fleet servicing, permits, MOTs and vehicle renewals; maintain records and produce reports.
• Support management of Estates compliance software; maintain records, produce reports and assist staff with queries.
• Contribute to service improvement, work with other departments, support safeguarding, health and safety, and professional development.
