Job summary

GXO is seeking a proactive Transport Administrator to keep transport operations running smoothly at our GXO - Sainsbury's site in Northampton.

You will support a busy team, handle driver and vehicle movements, and use WMS and transport systems. The role is full-time, permanent with 3 on/3 off shifts from 18:00 to 06:00, with pay of £30.395 per hour plus a £4,000 annual night shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrator role, preferably in transport/warehouse.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Understanding of Drivers Working Time Directive and EU Regulations.
• High attention to detail in administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Carry out required administration to support vehicle and driver movements.
• Book in all drivers/ vehicles into the depot.
• Assist in administering the integrity and accuracy of WMS and other transport systems.
• Track and administer the movement of vehicles and associated activity.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a 3 on, 3 off shift pattern covering hours between 18:00 - 06:00.

What you will do on a typical day:

• Carry out required administration to support vehicle and driver movements
• Book in all drivers/ vehicles into the depot
• Assist in administering the integrity and accuracy of WMS and other transport systems

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previously working in an administrator role, preferably in transport/ warehouse environment
• Good communication skills both verbal and written

• Strong administration skills with high attention to detail
• Using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
