Job summary

Ethero Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Transport Administration Assistant in Branston to support drivers and fleet operations. You will prepare driver documents, check deliveries, log daily activity data and perform general admin duties in a busy transport environment.

The role runs Tuesday to Saturday, 08:30–17:00, with on-site parking and a pension scheme. Applicants should be organised, communicative and capable of working with drivers, management and customers.

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic, flexible and highly organised.
  • Proven ability to convey facts and ideas clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and communicate with people at all levels.
  • Able to log, generate and action information efficiently for drivers, management and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of drivers’ documents including briefing and debriefing drivers.
  • Check all delivery documents to ensure correct delivery.
  • Extract information from the driver’s daily activity sheet and update the PC system.
  • Carry out general administration duties including filing, photocopying tachograph reconciliation and data input.
  • Assistance in fleet administration, e.g. MOTs, services, tax, etc.
  • Maintain LGV licence renewal details and arrange medicals when required.
  • Book in/out drivers and allocate loads/vehicles.
  • Comply with site accident reporting procedures.
  • Adhere to Company, statutory and Health & Safety obligations.
  • Attend training and support continuous improvement within the function and depot.

Pay rate: £12.71 per hour

Any lawful deductions will be explained clearly before engagement. Statutory deductions such as Tax, National Insurance, and pension contributions (where applicable) will apply.

Working Pattern

Tuesday to Saturday

08:30 - 17:00 (Flexibility required to cover holidays)

Candidate Requirements
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and highly organised individual, preferably with a proven track record in Transport.
  • Proven ability to be able to convey facts and ideas accurately and effectively in both written and oral styles. A flexible communication style is required.
  • Ensure that all information is generated, logged and actioned efficiently and accurately to provide a support and information service to drivers, management and the customer.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and communicate with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Will need to liaise well with the Admin Team and Warehouse Operations and must be able to work with a flexible team based approach.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
  • PC literacy essential.
